It works great, strongly recommend!

Strengths: Excellent noise reduction, lightweight, compact, nice travel case, comfortable.

Weakness: None so far!

I was hesitant at first, having my heart set on Bose's... But I have to admit this product is much better than I expected! Same quality as Bose's headset. Very clear sound while listening to music with the noise reduction on. It delivers everything, as advertised.I bought it as a gift to my husband who travels by air frequently, and he's completely satisfied with it! (He also wears it around the...

JVC Headphones better value than BOSE QC3s

Strengths: Very good noise cancelling - almost identical to the simiilar Bose QC3 headphones on-ear headphones. Comfortable headphones too.

Weakness: None that I have found yet.

If you're looking to save a bundle on quality noise canceling headphones - the JVC HA-NC250s are the way too go. Especially buying them from Quack Quack Distributors. They are $200 at places like Circuit City and I got them for $115 plus a $5 rebate for filling out this review. $110! Can't beat that deal. And compared to the Bose QC3 noise canceling headphones - which it seems JVC copies the look...

JVC HA-NC250 Noise Canceling Headphones

Strengths: good quality, lightweight, comfortable, NO proprietary battery, compact, great for travel

Weakness: none so far

I'm on an airplane every other week and I could not live without noise cancelling headphones. I had the Plane Quiet NC-7, however, they kept breaking and were not that comfortable. These JVCs are MUCH more comfortable and seem better built. Almost as good as the Bose but at nearly one-third the cost, a much better value! I can't give it 5 stars yet because I only have had them a month. If they...

70 bucks cheaper than buying at circuit city!! directly comparable to Bose, at more than half the price also. comfortable to wear, and great sound quality when listening to music player

Travel headphones -- a great choice

Strengths: Comfortable and quiet. Excellent sound reproduction. Reasonable price. Good low-pitch noise cancellation.

Weakness: Requires battery changes every 20 hours of use with standard AAA battery.

If you're on a plane for more than 12 hours, as I was, the use of noise canceling headphones makes a big difference. These headphones met my qualifications. They transmitted sound from various devices (the plane sound system, my computer, portable iPod-like devices) with excellent reproduction. They did not feel too heavy, make me sweat, or cause pressure areas. They were a reasonable price. They...

Good quality for low price

Strengths: Performed as advertised Good sound quality

Weakness: Doesn't cover whole ear so doesn't completely cancel sound

I bought these headphones instead of opting for the higher priced BOSE headphones. Ater using them for a time, they performed as advertised and I noticed a SIGNIFICANT noise reduction - especially on airplanes. I love the ability to put these on and be able to shut out the noise around. I was impressed with the sound quality. Overall a great product for a much better price than competitors.

Excellent cans for the price

Strengths: Come in hard shell case that is very durable. Phones are lightweight, do an excellent job of isolating constant background noise on planes. Connecting cord is a standard mini plug, can be left off.

Weakness: Does not do as well at isolating voices or children screaming on a plane, can clearly hear in flight announcements which is a mixed blessing at times.

I have had these headphones now for six months. They are very good for travel, and provide excellent sound reproduction for my Ipod. The headphones can be used by theirself, or you can plug in a cord to the headphone with the other end plugged into your music player for audio use. The removable cord is handy in case it gets damaged, you can buy a replacement generic cord at Radio Shack or other...

A lemon?

Strengths: Design, size, comfort, sound quality, ability to use the headphones without the noise-cancelling feature.

Weakness: noise cancelling hiss - sounds like icey drizzle on a glass window.

I have had the headset for less than a week and the noise cancelling feature is not working correctly. It was fine until this morning when suddenly it started to make popping and crackling noises. Sounds like a lose connection or an electrical short. I have used it a total of 4 times, twice while playing Zuma on the computer and twice on the bus going to work. Being of AARP age, you can rule out...

Great noise-canceling headphones!

Strengths: Effective noise-cancellation, great pricing, lightweight

Weakness: Short connection wire

I conducted a fair amount of online research while trying to find a more reasonably-priced (in my view) alternative to the Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. Even though I’m traveling more for work and the QCs’ noise-canceling capabilities were pretty good, I couldn’t justify spending that much on them. I decided to take a chance on the HA-NC250s and have been more than pleasantly surprised...
